Artist for the month of August 2017 at The Drive Coffee Bar - Tiffany Prince

Tiffany Prince is passionate about supporting, creating, and curating art.
An artist from a young age Tiffany furthered her art education through classes at Emily Carr University of Art & Design as well as private studies with a number of Professional Artists in Vancouver and the Interior of BC. Her recent series explores the power and beauty of nature through textured abstract expressionism. Focusing on communicating different elements such as fire, ice, water and space she develops patterns and texture with acrylic paint and mixed media to create abstract paintings that are open to interpretation by the viewer.
In 2016 Tiffany immersed herself in the Vancouver art scene through the creation of her first Meetup group – Vancouver Arts Meetup. The group started in March 2016 and now has over 1,800 members and has been acknowledged by to be one of the most active groups in the art category. Since starting Vancouver Arts Meetup she has also acquired two additional art focused Meetup groups and now organizes and promotes various events for an art loving audience of over 7,000 individuals.
Her latest art adventure began in January 2017 when she was elected President of the New West Artists Society (NWA). The NWA is a non-profit art society in New Westminster which promotes and supports local artists as well as the New Westminster art scene through art shows and community art projects such as the recent Uptown Live Festival community mural which measured 4’x8’ and was completed by over 300 festival goers ages 1-85.
