Now that we have all our ingredients for this enticing Coffee in My Caramel recipe, let’s dive into the How-To section. This recipe only uses three ingredients for the caramel coffee syrup, but trust me, you’ll be blown away by how rich and sweet the result is.

Making the Caramel Coffee Syrup
Step 1: Make the Homemade Caramel

Start by stirring together a ½ cup of water, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup of light corn syrup in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Dissolve the sugar completely and bring the mixture to a boil. Allow the mixture to heat until it turns a dark golden brown color. Do not leave it alone while it cooks.

Step 2: Add More Ingredients

Once you have achieved that gorgeous golden-brown color on the caramel sauce, immediately remove the pan from heat and add one tablespoon of butter cut into cubes, stirring as you do so. Next, add in 2 cups of heavy whipping cream, stirring until everything has dissolved together evenly.

Step 3: Flavor Time

When you see steam starting to form around the edges of your saucepan, stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. This will give your homemade caramel an extra yummy, sweet flavor.

Step 4: Combine Everything Together

Combine one cup of homemade caramel with 1/2 cup of coffee, mixed with one tablespoon of instant coffee granules. Make sure everything is stirred well so that the homemade caramel sauce gets nice and smooth.

Congratulations, you’ve just made your very own Caramel Coffee Syrup! Don’t worry if you mess up on this step, making homemade caramel can be tricky at first but it gets easier with practice.

Assembling Your Drink
Step 5: Ready Your Coffee Maker

Brew two cups of strong coffee using your preferred method.

Step 6: Get Iced or Hot

You can either serve this recipe iced or hot! For an iced latte recipe, pour the two cups of brewed coffee over some ice and pour in your Caramel Coffee Syrup, adding milk or cream (or any substitute you like) to taste. If you want the latte hot instead, simply heat up your brew to your desired temperature before adding in your cooled-down syrup.

Step 7: Shake it Up

For something extra fancy, shake things up by making an exotic and flavorful Salted Caramel Frappe! Add ice, milk, instant coffee powder, and caramel syrup into a blender jug then blend well until creamy and frothy. Serve with whipped cream on top!

Substitutions and Variations

Now, if you’re feeling adventurous or want to switch things up a bit, you can try some of these substitutions and variations to the Coffee in My Caramel recipe.

First off, for those who don’t like instant coffee granules or don’t have them on hand, you can use regular brewed coffee instead. Just substitute one cup of brewed coffee for the instant coffee and water called for in the recipe. You could also experiment with different types of coffee, such as using dark roast or flavored coffee to bring a unique twist to the drink.

If you are looking for an alternative to light corn syrup, try using honey or maple syrup instead. They will give the drink a slightly different flavor and thickness, but it’s worth giving it a try.

For those who want a stronger caramel flavor, you can increase the amount of homemade caramel sauce by adding 1/2 cup instead of 1/4 cup in the recipe. This will create a more luscious and succulent drink.

You can also use Brazil nut milk instead of heavy cream or milk. It gives a nutty flavor that would add another layer of depth to your drink.

Lastly, for those looking to spice things up, try sprinkling a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg on top of your drink before serving. This adds an extra dimension to the sweet flavor profile and complements well with the taste profile of this sweet drink.

Remember that these are just suggestions, and it’s always fun to experiment with different ingredients and flavors until you find the perfect blend that matches your personal taste preferences.

Serving and Pairing

Ah, the fruits of my labor, ready to be devoured. So how do you serve this decadent concoction? I recommend pouring a generous amount of coffee-caramel over a cup of ice for an invigorating iced-coffee experience. You can also enjoy it hot by simply warming up your mixture and sipping it like a luxurious latte.

But why stop there? Elevate your beverage game by pairing it with some tasty snacks. A buttery hazelnut pastry or a flaky croissant would make a perfect companion to this sweet and creamy coffee creation. Or perhaps some glazed donuts or a rich chocolate cake would make this indulgent treat even more satisfying.

This caramel coffee will satisfy any sugar cravings you may have, so consider having it as a dessert alternative after dinner. Serve it in glass cups or mugs and garnish with extra caramel sauce or whipped cream for a truly tempting presentation.

In fact, why not take things further and make it an event! Have your friends over and show off your new barista skills by sending everyone home with their own custom mix of caramel-coffee from your personal coffee maker.

Make-Ahead, Storing and Reheating

Listen up, folks. If you’re anything like me (and let’s face it, who isn’t?), you’ll want to know all the details about how to keep your coffee caramel creation fresh and tasty for as long as possible. Luckily, I’m here to share my secrets with you.

First things first: how to make ahead. If you’re planning on serving this baby at a later date or want a batch ready to go during the week, go ahead and prepare the coffee caramel sauce ahead of time. This will save you some valuable minutes when you’re in a rush for your morning caffeine fix, trust me.

To store your homemade caramel concoction, pour it into an airtight container such as a mason jar or Tupperware. You can keep it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks – and yes, it will still taste amazing after all that time sitting pretty. Remember to give it a good stir before using, though.

When it comes to reheating your coffee caramel sauce, remember to do so slowly over low heat (preferably on the stove). You don’t want to risk burning any of those delicious ingredients by trying to rush things along too quickly. Alternatively, you can pop the sauce in the microwave for 30-second intervals until it’s warm enough for your liking.

And there you have it – my tips for storing and reheating your coffee caramel sauce. With these tricks up your sleeve, there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy a sweet sip of your favorite cold brew or latte whenever the mood strikes.

Tips for Perfect Results

If you want to make this delicious Coffee in My Caramel! recipe, you need to pay attention to some tips that can make a difference in the final result. Trust me, these are not just “nice-to-have” tips – they are absolutely crucial for a perfect cup of coffee. So, without further ado, let’s get to it.

First and foremost, use high-quality ingredients. Ingredients like instant coffee granules, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and unsalted butter need to be of the best possible quality. Don’t skimp on cheap ingredients if you want a premium taste.

Another tip is related to the caramel sauce. You really should take your time while making it (remember section 4?). Cook it slowly on medium heat and keep stirring until it gets to the right consistency. A well-cooked caramel sauce has a deep flavor that will surprise you.

When pouring the caramel sauce into your coffee, do so little by little, stirring vigorously at the same time. This way, you’ll ensure that the sauce will mix evenly with the coffee as well as avoiding clumps or unevenness.

Don’t forget to prepare your coffee properly too. Make sure that your water is hot enough when preparing your instant coffee granules which will extract immediate flavors from your cup of joe.

If you opt for an iced version of this recipe, use ice cubes made from brewed coffee rather than regular water! This will instantly cool down your drink and preserve its full flavoriness.

Lastly, don’t hesitate to experiment with different variations of the recipe. Try adding a pinch of salt or swapping Brazil nut milk for heavy cream – who knows? You might find something new and exciting!

By following these tips, you’re guaranteed a perfect cup of Coffee in My Caramel! Go ahead and become your own barista today with this simple yet amazing recipe.
