For those who want to cut down on calories, you can use low-fat cream cheese or use a combination of yogurt and ricotta cheese to substitute for cream cheese.

To reheat, remove the plastic wrap and place the cake at 350°F for about 10 minutes. You could also microwave the cake for a few seconds until warmed through.

If you plan on making this recipe ahead of time, consider making separate cinnamon sugar streusel and canned peach pie filling in separate containers. You can store both of them in the refrigerator until ready to use.

When you’re ready to serve, spread cheesecake filling on top of crescent rolls dough. Top with peaches and sprinkle cinnamon sugar streusel over the peaches in order to bring all the delicious flavors together. Then bake according to instructions.

This peachy cheese coffee cake also freezes well. To freeze, wrap each slice individually with plastic wrap and foil then place them in a freezer-safe container or zip-top bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.

Tips for Perfect Results

As a barista who has made my fair share of coffee cakes, I know the importance of getting the recipe just right. Here are my top tips for achieving perfect results with this Peachy Cheese Coffee Cake recipe from Pampered Chef.

Tip #1: Softened Cream Cheese is Key

Make sure your cream cheese is fully softened before mixing it with the other ingredients. This will help the cheesecake layer come out smooth and creamy instead of lumpy and bumpy.

Tip #2: Use Fresh Crescent Roll Dough

Fresh crescent roll dough will yield the fluffiest and most delicious coffee cake possible. If you use old or frozen dough, it may be tougher and not bake as well.

Tip #3: Let Your Cake Fully Cool Before Serving

Although it may be tempting to dive right into your fresh-from-the-oven coffee cake, resist the urge! Allowing it to cool for 10-15 minutes on a cooling rack will make slicing and serving easier and less messy.

Tip #4: Customize With Your Favorite Fruits

While this recipe calls for peach or cherry pie filling, feel free to experiment with your favorite fruits. Canned peaches or even fresh peaches can work just as well, or try a streusel topping for extra texture!

Tip #5: Dust with Powdered Sugar Before Serving

A light sprinkle of powdered sugar adds a beautiful finishing touch to any dessert. Be sure to wait until after your cake has cooled completely before dusting to avoid melting sugar.

By following these tips, you’re sure to end up with a golden, peachy coffee cake that will impress everyone at your next brunch gathering.
